A new way to build companies
Delivering Clarity
Shipping fast is no longer an advantage if you don't know what's worth shipping.
Code isn't the bottleneck anymore. The tiny teams that learn from customers fastest will out-build everyone else. We're working out how to build companies that way, with a small group of founders, on their real products.
The bottleneck moved
Lean Startup told us this fifteen years ago: learn from customers, not from plans. Most teams never managed it, because building took weeks and the learning got squeezed out. "MVP" turned into a landing page and a survey.
AI changed the build step. A working version now takes days, not months. But you can't fast-forward a conversation with a customer, or shorten the time it takes someone to try a product and tell you the truth about it.
The pace of a product is no longer set by how fast you can build. It's set by how fast you can get honest feedback from real customers.
Three questions before you build anything else
Before anyone talks about what to build, we ask:
-
01
How many customer conversations did your team have last month?
-
02
How long is it between an idea and real user feedback on it?
-
03
What's the last thing you built that nobody used?
Most founders have honest answers to these and no process behind them. That's the gap Delivering Clarity closes.
What changes when building is fast
When building was slow
Delivering Clarity
We don't ask customers what to build. We put a working version in front of them and watch what they do with it.
How we work with you
-
01
Start with a Discovery Sprint.
We talk to your customers with you, before anything is built, and find what they'll pay for. If we go on to build together, the sprint is credited to the build.
-
02
Build the smallest version that works.
A real web or mobile app, in weeks, built to hold up in production and the app stores. Not a prototype that breaks the day after the demo.
-
03
Keep the loop short.
Customer conversations continue while we build, so every release answers something a customer said, not something a plan assumed.
What a Discovery Sprint produces before a line of code
- Customer conversations, run with you and written up while they're fresh
- A clear read on what customers will pay for, and what they won't
- The smallest version worth building, defined
- A build or don't-build decision you can defend
Build speed is what keeps the loop short. A founder with prototypes that fall over still has a slow loop. Our job is to make sure yours never does.
What this means for you
- You don't need a product team. You need one tiny team that does both halves: the conversations and the build.
- You talk to your customers directly. No layers between the idea and the people paying for it. We're in the room with you.
- The skills that matter have shifted. Listening, validating early, gathering feedback from people who disagree with each other, and positioning what you learn. We bring the build so you can focus on those.
We're building a new way to build companies.
Code isn't the bottleneck anymore, and we're working out what that means with a small group of founders, on their real products. We're writing Delivering Clarity from those engagements. If you're building something now, we'd like to talk.
This isn't for you if you want the cheapest code, if you think validation is optional, or if you want a vendor rather than a partner.
